This is a “green” garden with many different textures and shades of green and a select but limited use of color. It was an old neglected garden that had many mature trees. They provided structure, but needed a unifying element. The canopy was thinned and a lawn installed. A low seat wall was added to define the planting area around the palms. A new patio was built in the same location as the old with a new transition to the lawn. The original fish pond was resurrected, a modern fountain installed, as well as an irrigation system and night lighting and some select plantings to completely restore the garden.
